Palo Alto Residence

One of our favorite parts of our jobs is getting to experience a wide range of incredibly built homes, and sometimes, taking a step back into history. Derby was brought on to concept and design the interior of this historic 1913 home in Palo Alto. We partnered with architect Eileen Gordon to give this Colonial Revival home new life, while staying true to the original style of the home and keeping the traditional architecture intact throughout the living room, dining room, entry, and primary bedroom.

Our team modernized the kitchen, family room, library, and powder bathroom, while updating lighting and rugs throughout the entire home. We put our style-mixing expertise to work to deliver an end result that maintained the historic traditional integrity of the home, while incorporating modern and transitional elements throughout.
